STRESS!!!

If I may ask, are you feeling stress on your everyday work and activities? What are the factors that cause someone to be stressed? How can you say that you are already stressed?

Stress they say is the harmful physical and emotional response that occurs when there is a poor match between job demands and the capabilities, resources, or needs of the person. It could be psychological, social or even physiological in nature. It could arise from personal, financial, and the activities that we are doing everyday. It can lead to poor performance, injury, diseases or even death. Stress is categorized in four types:

Eustress is a type of short-term stress that provides immediate strength. Eustress arises at points of increased physical activity, enthusiasm, and creativity. Eustress is a positive stress that arises when motivation and inspiration are needed.

Distress is a negative stress brought about by constant readjustments or alterations in a routine. Distress creates feelings of discomfort and unfamiliarity. There are two types of distress. Acute stress is an intense stress that arrives and disappears quickly. Chronic stress is a prolonged stress that exists for weeks, months, or even years.

Hyperstress occurs when an individual is pushed beyond what he or she can handle. Hyperstress results from being overloaded or overworked. When someone is hyperstressed, even little things can trigger a strong emotional response.

Hypostress is the opposite of hyperstress. Hypostress occurs when an individual is bored or unchallenged. People who experience hypostress are often restless and uninspired.

Now that we have identified what are factors contributing to stress, we have to find ways on how to cope with it. Make next post will tackle about how to get rid of this stress..

What Is Love Exactly?

what is Love Exactly!!! Something to ponder upon.....

Are your palms sweaty, is your heart racing and is your voice caught within your chest??It isn't love, it's like.

You can't keep your eyes or hands off of them, am I right??
It isn't love, it's lust.

Are you proud, and eager to show them off??
It isn't love, it's luck.

Do you want them because you know they're there??
It isn't love, it's loneliness.

Are you there because it's what everyone wants??
It isn't love, it's loyalty.

Are you there because they kissed you, or held your hand??
It isn't love, it's low confidence.

Do you stay for their confessions of love, because you don't want to hurt them??
It isn't love, it's pity.

Do you belong to them because their sight makes your heart skip a beat??
It isn't love, its infatuation.

Do you pardon their faults because you care about them??
It isn't love, it's friendship.

Do you tell them every day they are the only one you think of??
It isn't love, it's a lie.

Are you willing to give all of your favorite things for their sake??
It isn't love, it's charity.

THEN WHAT's LOVE ?????? Check this out.

Does your heart ache and break when they're sad??
Then it's love.

Do you cry for their pain, even when they're strong??
Then it's love.

Do their eyes see your true heart, and touch your soul so deeply it hurts??
Then it's love.

Do you stay because a blinding, incomprehensible mix of pain and relationpulls you close and holds you there??
Then it's love.

Do you accept their faults because they're a part of who they are??
Then it's love.

Would you give them your heart, your life, your death??
Then it's love.

Now, if love is painful, and tortures us so, why do we love? Why is it,all, we search for, in life? This pain, this agony? Why is it, all, we longfor?

This torture, this powerful death of self ??? Why??? Why??? Why???

The answer is so simple 'cause it's...LOVE. It is such an addictive thing that even people, who are not having it, wish to experience it and share it, with others as well.

Love Needs No Reason

Let me just share this inspiring story with you guys and prove that loves really no needs a reson

Lady:
Why do you like me..? Why do you love me?

Man: I can’t tell the reason.. but I really like you..

Lady: You can’t even tell me the reason…How can you say you like me? How can you say you love me?

Man: I really don’t know the reason, but I can prove
that I love you.

Lady: Proof? No! I want you to tell me the reason. My friend’s boyfriend can tell her why he loves her but not you!

Man: Ok ok!!! Erm… because you’re beautiful, because your voice is sweet, because you are caring, because you are loving, because you are thoughtful, because of your smile, because of your every movements..

Unfortunately, a few days later, the Lady met with an accident and became a vegetable. The Guy then placed a letter by her side, and here is the content:

Dearest,

Because of your sweet voice that I love you… Now can you talk? No! Therefore I cannot love you. Because of your care and concern that I like you.. Now that you cannot show them, therefore I cannot love you.
Because of your smile, because of your every movements that I love you.. Now can you smile? Now can you move? No, therefore I cannot love you…If love needs a reason, like now, there is no reason for me to love

you anymore. But does love need a reason? I still love you… Because love doesn’t need one.

Chain Massages

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend calls you after you had a fight.
A simple friend expects you to always be there for them.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!
A simple friend reads this message and deletes it.
A real friend passes it on and sends it back to you!

Pass this on to anyone you care about......if you get it back you have no beginning, no end. It keeps us together, like our Circle of Friends. Today I pass the friendship ball to you. Pass it on.

I receive this chain message months ago. It was sent by a close friend. I am not into chain messaging but, I sent the message to all people close to me. It's not because I am "threatened" by the sentence "A simple friend reads this message and deletes it. A real friend passes it on and sends it back to you!". I know in my heart that I am a real friend to my friends. The reason I sent this chain message is because I wanted my friends to read this.

If you were to receive this message, will you send it to your friends and back to the person who sent you? Do you think, this message will affect your affection or feeling for your friend?

In my opinion even if you send this message to your friends or not, your affection for them will not be affected. What matters is when you are at their side when they needed you. You trust, respect, and value them. You give your best without expecting anything in return. You laugh with them. You cry with them.

That's what friendship means. It's not because you did not send the message above to your friends, you are already a "simple", not "real" friend. Friendship is measured on how deep is your commitment to your friends, not by this chain message :D

Acing Job Interviews

Fresh graduates will now hunt for jobs in different industries. It is an opportunity to grow and apply all the things that we learn from school. It also means another group of people will add the unemployment rate in our country.

So what must we do in order for us not to be part of the unemployed group? How can we wow the company we wish to work with? Better follow these tips:

Company Research
Research should always be your first step. Gathering background information on employers is a crucial element in successful interview preparation. You will need to be prepared to answer the questions "What do your know about our company"? and "Why do you want to work here?" Knowing as much as possible about the company's past performance and future plans can make your interview more interactive and could be just the leg up you need in a competitive job market. Before the interview review the company's web site and don't be afraid to contact your prospective employer to request details on the position you are interviewing for or to ask for company literature.

Practice Makes Perfect
Practice makes perfect (or at least leads to improvement). Practice with a friend and record or videotape your responses so you can replay the interview and see how well you did. Prepare answers to commonly asked interview questions. Doing so will help you analyze your background and qualifications for the position.

Behavioral Interviews
Behavior based interviewing is becoming more common. It is based on the premise that a candidates past performance is the best predictor of future performance. Rather than the typical interview questions on your background and experience, you will you need to be prepared to provide detailed responses including specific examples of your work experiences.
The best way to prepare is to think of examples where you have successfully used the skills you've acquired. Take the time to compile a list of responses to both types of questions and to itemize your skills, values, and interests as well as your strengths and weaknesses. Emphasize what you can do to benefit the company rather than just what you are interested in. Also prepare a list of questions you want to ask the interviewer. Remember, you aren't simply trying to get the job - you are also interviewing the employer to assess whether this company and the position are a good fit for you.

Prepare For the Interview
It is very important to be on time for the interview. On time means ten to fifteen minutes early. If need be, take some time to drive to the office ahead of time so you know exactly where you are going. Know the interviewer's name and use it during the interview. If your not sure of the name, call and ask prior to the interview. Remember to bring an extra copy of your resume and a list of references.

Stay Calm
During the interview try to remain as calm as possible. Ask for clarification if you're not sure what's been asked and remember that it is perfectly acceptable to take a moment or two to frame your responses so you can be sure too fully answer the question.
End the interview with a thank you to the interviewer and reiterate your interest in the position. Then follow-up with a personal Thank You note restating your interest.

By following the tips above, you're sure to land to your dream job

Practice Before your Job Interview

I used to hear this from my parents, friends, and school teachers. I still hear this until now, especially when I do something I am not used to.

I remember when I had my first job interview. My friends keep on reminding me that I should keep on practicing in front of a mirror, pretending as if my reflection was my interviewer. I did, and it helped me a lot to be composed and confident during the real interview.

Practice makes perfect indeed.

Here are several pointers I can share on how to practice before your job interview, which really helped me. Hope they will worked for you, too. These tips were actually intended for my sister, but I decided posting it here hoping that someone who is afraid of job interviews may happen to read this post ;D

1. If you're nervous about speaking up, practice with good friends, with a family member, or in front of a mirror.
2. While practicing, don't twirl your hair, bite your nails, or rock back and forth. Sit back straight. Relax.
3. Try to be professional and serious while having your practice. Pretend that it was a real interview and observe yourself.
4. If you practice with a friend or a family member, ask them your points of improvement, and then work it out.
5. Watch the local news and observe how the anchor talks. Try to imitate her or him, but not too hard.

Most importantly, while having your "real" interview, remember these:

1. Before entering the room, breathe deeply. Relax.
2. Look the interviewer in the eye.
3. Hold your head up with confidence.
4. Avoid mumbling and saying "um" and "uh" when you speak.
5. When you state your answer or opinion, speak clearly, calmly, and confidently.

Good Luck!

Dont Waste your Time seeking for a perfect Job

Yesterday, my Brother and I had a conversation about her "future" job. He asked my opinion on what job best suits him. As her elder brother, I said "It's up to you. Go for something you are passionate about. Go for something that will make you happy".

My brother answered back "Maybe I will just wait for a perfect job for me."

His reply really hit me. I wonder how many people around the world thinks like him, believing that a perfect job is worth waiting. How many of them believe that a great opportunity will come for them, not the other way around.

Again, I answered back "You should not be waiting for a perfect job. Instead, you should be searching for it. You will never know that it's the perfect job for you, unless you already got it."

I don't know if my brother was enlightened with these words. I am hoping so.

Maybe some will argue that they became successful because a great chance knocks by their door while they were waiting for it. Well, I say, they must be lucky. Very, very lucky. But life is not only about luck. Not everyone is fortunate like them.

I am not saying that we should not wait for a perfect job because I believe that a perfect job will come to us on its perfect time. Sometimes, it will just knock on your door while you are not expecting it. But it seldom does. My point is, instead of waiting for a perfect job to come for you, then why not go out and search for what's best for you. Maybe the great job is waiting for you.

Remember, life is too short and time is gold. Don't waste your life and time for waiting. Instead, use them to explore.

When Patience becomes Not a Virtue for LovE

When...

  • I worry i wouldn't want to see your face again..
  • My love would fade...
  • My heart gets tired...
  • My waiting would stain my heart...
  • I eventually forget without knowing you were still there...
  • Once a present and future suddenly turns to a simple past i can never recover and will refuse to look back to....
  • The sun on your face that once let me see everything around me in full spark turns to a mere spotlight fading...
  • Ur voice that i used to put together melodies for a perfect musical lyric turns to a mute note i would refuse to hear...
  • The colors i used to associate with the emotions you've brought me turns to nothing but a fading gray...
  • I find myself hearing another song that's completely out of our tracks...
  • I look at an image and i see a plethora of mini images and not be trapped anymore with my thoughts of you..
  • I feel my heart beating not for you anymore and the bruises vanish in thin layers of mist..
  • Seeing the sun setting above the ocean would finally mean a sunrise would not be a day of longing for you...
  • Ur name sounds a million yesterdays that would take a few zillions of mentioning before i can finally at least recognize...
  • I finally understand that love is never enough to keep me going...
  • Dreams would suddenly take place without you in it...
  • Crystal tears refuse to run but just froze on my cheek that it suddenly stings and leave a red scar to only let time take it away...
  • I realize it was never meant to be...
  • And when Thank You is the only thing left to say.

And so here lies my truth of having to let go of what would never be a happy ending and that 'somewhere else' is a better place to be.For sad endings does not always entail breakdowns and endless pretensions of 'I'm' just OKs' but a promise of another genuine smile...so much for a 'long distance' note.
